Perspective & Consideration

As I read articles left, right, and center, I just wish we could all spend a day in each other’s shoes…

It makes me heart sick when I think about the person gasping for breath as they lay in the hospital…

It makes me heart sick when I think about the hospital staff that deals with and stares at death and the dieing day in and day out for way too many hours…

It makes me heart sick when I think about all the individuals that either don’t have family or no one close by, and possibly no one to care how they are doing isolated from everything and everyone…

It makes me heart sick when I think about those people that are facing evictions or thousands of dollars they owe in back rent/mortgage…

It makes me heart sick when I think of single parents that have many children that they not only have to figure out how to keep fed, clothed, and a roof over their head, but they also have to navigate home school (add French Immersion for an English parent)…

It makes me heart sick when I think of those people that are entrenched in an abusive household and there’s no one to hear or care that they have no where to go and no one to notice that they need help…

It makes me heart sick when I think of those that have poured blood, sweat, and tears for years to build a business to support themselves and their families and now it’s all crumbled to dust…

I just wish we could all feel what it’s like to live in the ‘other’ person’s shoes so we could find compassion, caring, and love when we try to work out how to navigate these days together.
