My Inspiration

Psalm 121:1-2 (The Message)

A Pilgrim Song

121 1-2 I look up to the mountains;
    does my strength come from mountains?
No, my strength comes from God,
    who made heaven, and earth, and mountains.

I have yet to hear someone who has confessed themselves a sinner and asked Jesus to come live into their heart–turn around and say they regretted it. We may lose heart, plead with our Father that we can’t possibly endure what we’re going through, but maybe like me–you pick yourself back up and try again. Maybe you say, “I can bear all things, do all things as long as Jesus is standing in the fire with me.”

Weaved in and amongst my writings and stories are bits and pieces of my life, which illustrates where my inspiration and help comes from. My Abba, Father—my Daddy is always with me and if I’m heartbroken, then he is, too. If I’m happy and confident, then he’s in my corner cheering me on or singing and dancing with me.

Since June 30, 1996 at an Amway Convention in Toronto, Ontario I practically ran to the stage and confessed being a sinner and asked Jesus to live in my heart and I have never, ever regretted it since. I have experienced hardships, humiliations, and losses, and plenty of setbacks, but always He is with me. Most times He is holding my hand. Sometimes we are sitting at a candle-lit table for two; while at other times He is carrying me and soothing me. He never tires of me, never gives up on me and is always as close as my nearest thought.

Do you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior?
