From My Thankful Heart to Yours, Daddy!

Romans 1:20

Abba, Father, thank you for being next to me, every step of my way, whether my path is meandering through hills and valleys or walking the straight and narrow.

Thank you, Daddy, for the peace you fill me with that makes no sense when there seems to be no peace around me.

Faithful. Dad, thank you — knowing that just your touch, just a glance of your eyes on me brings my world back into focus once again.

Father, you are my anchor — or two, when needed; the genoa to my sails, because nothing thrills you more than to watch me racing towards fresh adventures in my life.

Thank you, Daddy, for all your firm, loving patience with me. If it were up to me, I would have long given up on myself.

Thank you, Dad, for every thoughtful gift you’ve ever given to me. Your gifts often just keep on giving. You even noticed if my eye twitched at something as insignificant as a stuffed toy in the grocery store and gave it to me.

Thank you, Father, for all the people you have placed in and around my life. People that may have helped me see my short-comings, but also people to point out the wonderful things you have placed within me.

Thank you, Father, for the gift of life you lent me, not once but twice. I am honored and delighted to have born children.

Thank you, Father, for the amazing smorgasbord of grand children you have blessed me with, who continually delight all of my senses.

Thank you, Daddy, for a husband like no other, just for me. I see you in him. I feel you through him, and I hear you in him, too.

Thank you, Father, that even though I hadn’t known you well in my youth, yet I did know you. You are forever mine as I am ever yours.
